Painted Portraits. Skrímslasetur (Seamonster Museum), Bíldudalur, Iceland. 2010
On Jónsvaka/Midsummer Festival, June 24th, 2010, I hosted a free face painting day for Bíldudalur at Skrímslasetur (Seamonster Museum). I may well have painted the faces of all the children in Bíldudalur! The theme was sea creatures and the children could choose what they wanted painted. The most popular were octopus, shark, seamonster(!), and dolphin. These are a few portraits I took right after the face painting.
