On Jónsvaka/Midsummer Festival, June 24th, 2010, I hosted a free face painting day for Bildudalur at Skrímslasetur (Seamonster Museum). I may well have painted the faces of all the children in Bildudalur! The theme was sea creatures and the children could choose what they wanted painted. The most popular were octopus, shark, seamonster(!), and dolphin.
